A Washington County road will be closed starting Monday for resurfacing work. On Monday April 6th, the Washington County Engineer’s Office will close county road 190th Street to through traffic between Vine Avenue and Willow Avenue, approximately 3 miles north of G36 (220th Street). Crews will be grading and resurfacing the existing roadway.

The contract for this project was awarded to DeLong Construction of Washington for $480,145.93. DeLong Construction will continue with the restoration of the road cross section and work to improve drainage and snow removal operations by cleaning out ditches and laying some slopes back. This work was started last construction season and had been put on hold for winter weather.

Construction is estimated to be completed in one month, and is dependent on the weather. To avoid delays, the public is encouraged to use alternate routes in the area. If you must use 190th Street, motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the work zone and be prepared for travel delays.
