The Highland soccer team started the year Monday night with a 10-0 loss to visiting Cedar Valley Christian. Highland found themselves down 3-0 at the half before CVC put a seven spot on the board after intermission.

Cedar Valley Christian had two goals each from Owen Henricksen, Jeefbeni Ngoy, and Wesley Northrup. The loss dropped Highland to 0-1 as CVC starts 1-0.
