The Lone Tree Community School District has announced a remodeling of its administrative structure and leadership for the 2026-2027 school year, downsizing to one principal for all grades and entering into a sharing agreement for business operations.

Amber Jacque has been appointed as the lone principal for all Lone Tree CSD students beginning this upcoming school year. The decision to move to one principal for grades Pre-K through 12th was decided on by the Lone Tree school board at its February 18th meeting. Jacque was confirmed as the choice to serve in that role at the board’s March 25th meeting.

For the current school year, Jacque is serving as the elementary principal and activities director, with Andrew Koshatka serving as middle school and high school principal.

In a statement, Superintendent Tyler Hotz says the move was made to support the district’s mission of operational efficiency, with Jacque’s new role allowing for unified leadership across all grade levels and supporting continuity in curriculum, instruction, and student experiences.

Hotz says Jacque was the right choice because of the experience she brings, “Amber Jacque has been in our district for a number of years, and has a lot of experience with Lone Tree schools. So, bringing someone with so much knowledge and foundation for the Lone Tree district is going to serve us as we move forward with this new transition. So, I can’t express how much having that knowledge base is going to support her transition.”

In addition, the district has entered into a sharing agreement with West Branch Community School District for School Business Official services. Angie Klinkkammer will serve in the position, working with both districts in areas of finance and operations.
