We are just under a month away from the annual Kewash Trail race that will be taking place on April 25th, 2026.
This will be the 13th year of the half marathon, 10K, and 5K, but it will be the inaugural year for the marathon distance. Race organizer Kyla Bieri with the YMCA shared the process of setting up a marathon, “We are always looking for new ways to improve the race. I think it has just grown so much over the last 12 years that it’s been going on, and so we figured why not try it, and see how it goes. But it is going to be a little different. We are going to have to be there a little bit earlier in the morning. Yeah, it will be a lot more route set up the day before. I think we are going to have to do just a lot more interaction with the runners, too, just since they are going to be out on the course for four, five, six hours. It’s going to be very different, I don’t know what to expect quite yet, but I think it is going to be fun.”
The half marathon distance is 13.1 miles while the full marathon will be 26.2 miles for runners to complete.
The races will all start and finish just off the town square. Last year’s event saw 557 runners take to the trail.
