Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk senior basketball standout Jovi Evans was recognized for her work on the court this winter with a spot on the Class 3A All-Region 3 team from the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association.

Evans led the River Valley Conference with a 37.8% mark from three point range, for those with at least 50 attempts. Her 269 points scored were fifth most in the RVC. Evans posted 101 made shots, 63 assists and 53 made free throws, all sixth most in league play, to go with 132 boards, eighth most and 59 steals.

She was also an All-RVC and IGCA All-Region selection. Joining Evans on the Region 3 team are Savanna Wright, Taylor and Courtney Franck and Quinn Pershing from Mount Vernon and Payton Foster of Dike-New Hartford.

The Golden Hawks had an 18-6 overall record, their highest win total since 2013.
