Area proms are just around the corner and students from across the region have an opportunity to get a free dress. The second instance of an annual event is returning to Washington High School for area students looking for a prom dress. 

The giveaway will be this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Washington High School, and is open to all area students. The All Dolled Up dress giveaway can alleviate some of the financial burden that prom shopping can bring, and the final dress giveaway of the season is this weekend. 

Students from area schools are invited to shop from over 200 prom dresses that have been donated and are all free of charge. 

The tradition began in 2011 at the Wayland Youth Center and transitioned to Washington High School a couple of years ago. The event began to ensure everybody had the opportunity to attend prom.
