Keota standout Chase Haifley has earned a fairly large post-season honored, being named to the Iowa Basketball Coaches Assocation 1A 3rd team.

Haifley, a senior, was the leading scorer on an Eagles team that went 15-7 and finished fourth in the South Iowa Cedar League. Haifley averaged 15.9 points per game, but also picked up over 5 rebounds a night. Haifley also found time to dish the ball out as well, averaging over 5 assists per game and leading the Eagles in that category as well.

Haifley is joined on the 3rd team by players from Holy Trinity, East Marshall, Marquette Catholic, Boyden-Hull, MMCRU, Lynville-Sully, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Burlington Notre Dame, and Mount Ayr. The 1A Player of the Year, as voted by the IBCA, was Hunter Horn of St. Edmonds.
