After a fall full of statistical success, two members of the WACO Warrior football team were named 8-man Second Team All-State by Iowa Grandstand Sports.

Senior Adam Stafford was All-State on the offensive line. Stafford was part of an offensive line that helped the Warriors to 41 touchdowns and 32 points per game. On defense, he came away with 23 tackles.

Junior Hayden Shelman was All-State at the running back spot. Shelman had more than 1,500 all-purpose yards 22 touchdowns, nearly 1,000 yards on the ground, 18 scores rushing, 54 completions and three passing touchdowns. On defense he had 25 tackles and an interception with 12 yards per kick return and 35 yards per punt on special teams.

Both Stafford and Shelman were First-Team All-District in 8-man District 5. WACO was a playoff qualifier, finishing with a 3-6 overall record.
