Area athletes from Columbus, Highland, Lone Tree, and Winfield-Mt. Union kicked off their outdoor track season at the Columbus Early Bird Invitational on Monday.
Columbus/Lone Tree won the boys’ title with 236 team points. Top five finishers for the Wildcats included:

Meanwhile, Van Buren secured first place on the girls’ side with 148 team points. Highland’s girls’ finished third with 128 team points, and were the highest ranking team of the KCII listening area. The Huskies were led by:
