A decorated career drew to a close in February for Mid-Prairie senior basketball standout Bryce Henry, but not before he left his mark on the Golden Hawk program.

After lighting up the scoreboard at Tim Grady Gymnasium for three years, Henry finished third in scoring in Golden Hawk history with 1,189 career points. His first points for the Hawks came as a sophomore December 2nd of 2023, a game-high 21 point outing in a 61-43 home win over Northeast Goose Lake. He would complete the campaign with a team best 317 points, 14.4 points per game, the first of his three seasons leading the club in scoring. As a junior, he scored 489 total points, most in the River Valley Conference, averaging 21.3 per night. He also hit the 500 point milestone with his career high 39 points scored in a Saturday Showcase win over Solon in Wellman 61-57 January 4th of 2025. As a senior, Henry racked up 400 total points on the year, a team best 17.4 per night. Henry joined the illustrious 1,000 point club January 16th of 2026 with a 21 point night at Tipton with the milestone moment coming on a break-away layup. He was the ninth Golden Hawk in program history to achieve the feat.

From there Henry continued to ascend the school scoring ladder, ultimately finishing third. The only players above him, all-time leader Travis Kern, class of 2005 with 1,503 points and 1998 graduate Randy Jirsa with 1,433. Members of the 1,000 point club Henry passed include 2022 graduate Carter Harmsen at 1,182, 1971 alum Steve Mast at 1,160, 2000 grad Brent Showalter at 1,047, 1991 alum and current assistant coach Kelby Bender at 1,031, 2008 graduate Darian Patterson at 1,022 and 2010 grad Tanner Miller at 1,000.
