One of the best seasons in Mid-Prairie football history has made many revisions to the record book. The Golden Hawks finished in the top 10 in school history in 37 different team and individual categories and broke 11 all-time school records with their play last fall.
As a team, the Hawks 2,181 passing yards are the most ever in a single season, as are their 147 total pass completions. The Hawks piled up 470 points, second most ever in a year, en route to winning nine games, second most in program history, and gaining 3,775 total yards, third most ever in a season.
Senior Hudson Ehrenfelt stands alone atop the Mid-Prairie mountain with his 70 career touchdowns scored. His 88 career receptions are also the most ever for a Golden Hawk. With his 1,042 rushing yards in 2025, he became the first player in Mid-Prairie history to gain 1,000 yards on the ground in three different seasons in a career. Ehrenfelt finished second scoring 404 career points. He was also second with 3,735 career rushing yards and second with 1,259 career receiving yards. Ehrenfelt’s 615 yards receiving and 11 touchdown grabs in 2025 are both fourth most in a year and his 36 total catches this season were eighth most. His 148 receiving yards at Alburnett is the ninth highest total in Mid-Prairie history.
Senior Kaden Kos made his mark on both sides of the ball. Kos as the all-time Golden Hawk leader with 19 career receiving touchdowns. His 10 scoring grabs in 2025 tied the Mid-Prairie record for a single year. Defensively, Kos finished with a school record 415 career tackles. His season of 128 total stops in 2025 is fourth most in a year, and it makes him the first Golden Hawk ever to record at least 100 tackles in three different seasons during a career. Kos finished third with 1,106 receiving yards in his career and his 39 total catches in 2025 are third most. He made 66 career receptions fourth most and his 532 receiving yards in 2025 are the ninth highest total for a single season.
Junior Brooks Weber had an aerial assault on the Golden Hawk record book. His 30 passing touchdowns and 1,973 yards throwing are both all-time Mid-Prairie records. He also tied the pass touchdown and total touchdown Golden Hawk single game records by throwing for six scores in a win over West Liberty. Weber’s 23 connections against Alburnett are second most in a single game, his 20 against Van Meter are sixth best. His 357 yards through the air against the Pirates are also second most, his 306 total passing against West Liberty is fourth highest. Weber completed 136 total passes in 2025, second most in a year. In just one season as the Golden Hawk starting signal caller he already ranked third with 30 career passing scores, sixth with 139 career completions and ninth with 1,995 passing yards.
Junior Carson Humphrey finished third for a single year in Golden Hawk history with eight touchdown catches in 2025. That number also put him seventh on the all-time career scoring grab list. Humphrey’s 73 yard pick six against Mediapolis is the fifth longest in Golden Hawk history.
Junior Nolan Jergens made seven touchdown catches in 2025, eighth most for a Golden Hawk in a season.
Mid-Prairie finished the year as undefeated district champions at 9-2 overall, advancing to the 2A State Quarterfinals for the seventh time in program history.
