The Washington County Supervisors approved the funding requests from county groups and organizations at their Tuesday meeting and four organizations will be seeing less than they requested. They include the Washington Economic Development Group, the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program, the Washington County Library Association, and Main Street Washington.

WEDG requested $23,000 and will receive $20,000. HACAP asked for $140,000 and will receive $120,000. The Library Association requested $156,750, and will receive 10% less at $141,075. Main Street Washington will receive $5,467 after requesting $6,834. That totals a decrease of just over $40,000 from what was requested by the organizations.

The funding will cover the next fiscal year. In total, 20 organizations received funds from the County.
