After one of the most successful seasons in program history, four members of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football team earned All-State spots for their work on the field in 2025.

Seniors Hudson Ehrenfelt and Kaden Kos were both First-Team All-State selection in Class 2A at running back and linebacker respectively by the Iowa Football Coaches Association, Iowa Grandstand Sports and Iowa Print Sports Writer’s Association. Ehrenfelt finished with 1,831 all-purpose yards and 24 touchdowns. He was fourth in Class 2A in all-purpose yards, sixth in rushing touchdowns, eighth in receiving touchdowns and ninth in total touchdowns. For Kos, he piled up 80 tackles, 15 for loss and two interceptions, finishing 10th in 2A in total stops and ninth in tackles for loss. On offense, he had 718 all-purpose yards and 12 total touchdowns. He led Class 2A in special teams scores and was fifth in receiving touchdowns. Kos was also named All-State by Sports Illustrated. The duo own seven Mid-Prairie records between the two of them including Kos with most tackles in a career, the only Golden Hawk to post three seasons of at least 100 tackles, career receiving touchdowns and touchdown catches in a single season. For Ehrenfelt he’s best all-time in career touchdowns scored, career catches and he’s the first Golden Hawk to ever have three different 1,000 yard rushing seasons in a career.

It was a junior pair on Second-Team All-State squads for Mid-Prairie with quarterback Brooks Weber and lineman Tommy Miller who were chosen by the IFCA, Iowa Grandstand Sports and IPSWA. Weber was 136 of 217 throwing for 1,973 yards, 30 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He led Class 2A in touchdown passes, was second in QBR, sixth in completion percentage and total touchdowns, eighth in passing yards and 10th in total completions. Weber owns four Mid-Prairie records including passing touchdowns and passing yards in a season and passing scores and total touchdowns in one game. Miller was part of an offensive line that helped the Hawks score 470 points this season, second most for the Golden Hawks in a year in program history, finishing with more than 3,700 yards as a team, third most for the program. On defense, Miller had 31 tackles, seven for loss and recovered a fumble.

All four were All-District Selections in Class 2A District 6. The Golden Hawks finished the year at 9-2, rising as high as No. 3 in the Class 2A polls, tying the program record for deepest playoff run, ending their season in the Class 2A Quarterfinals.
