Mixing it up with some of the best in the country, Washington junior Greyson Hartman secured a sixth place finish in the boys’ shot put championship at the Nike Indoor Nationals in New York last Saturday.

On his second throw, Hartman posted a distance of 19.28m, or 63’03”. He also posted throws of 15.96m, 19.03m, and 18.70m. Hartman’s best was good enough for a sixth place finish out of 55 competitors.

The championship went to Christopher Marcell of Marathon, Wisconsin, with a best throw of 21.08m, or 69’2″. That throw set a new meet record.
