The Washington City Council will hear two annual reports Tuesday evening during their regular meeting.
The first report will be from the Washington County Fair Board, then the Washington Police Department will share their report and hold their 2025 awards recognition. There will also be an Arts in Education Month proclamation presentation.
The meeting will conclude with a workshop discussing a proposed ordinance revision to combine the park board and forestry commission. Currently the members of the forestry commission and park board are both appointed by the mayor.
The forestry commission consists of three community members that each serve three year terms. The park board is a more newly formed entity and consists of six city residents that serve four year terms.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Washington City Hall.
