Archers from Washington High School, Washington Middle School, and Lincoln Elementary lined up last Saturday in Springville, with several archers picking up solid results.

Washington High School placed third out of four teams after shooting a 3274 in the bullseye competition. Zach Hotchkiss was the top performer for the boys, taking second after recording a personal best 292 with 23 tens. Hunter Barnes was right behind him, also picking up a personal best 291 with 21 tens. Killian Ribble also reached the top ten, placing ninth and shooting a 280 and 13 tens. Hailey Curtis was the top performer for the girls, taking 12th among all girls with a 271 and 6 tens.

In the 3D competition, Washington placed second out of four teams with a 1655. Hotchkiss placed second, again leading the boys with a 289 and 22 tens, another personal best. Barnes also finished with a 289, but took third after recording 20 tens. Braydon Clough also finished within the top ten, taking eighth with a 275 and 14 tens. Emma Helfrich was the top performing girl, taking tenth among all girls with a 270 and 13 tens.

Washington Middle School also placed third out of four teams, shooting a 3134 in the bullseye competition. Jordan Thorius was the top performer for the boys, placing second with a personal best 288 with 19 tens. Jace Helfrich placed fifth with a 278 and 15 tens. Jayse Thorius finished eighth with a 274 and 11 tens, and Lawson Love rounded out the top ten with a 269 and 11 tens. Addyson Near was the top performer for the girls, placing 13th after shooting a 262 with 13 tens.

In the 3D competition, the middle school placed second out of four teams with a 1631. Jordan Thorius led the boys once more with a 280 with 12 tens. Helfrich, Logan Hotchkiss, Braxton Rich, and Jayce Thorius all finished in the top ten. Near led the girls again with a seventh place finish following a 267 and 9 tens, with Miriam Pierce joining her in the top ten with an eighth place finish after shooting a 266 with 14 tens.

Finally, Lincoln Elementary archers finished first out of two teams in bullseye competition, shooting a 2807. Gradyn Wade led the way for the boys with a 262 and 8 tens, setting a personal best. Also finishing in the top ten were Mason Ousey, Owen Gellerstedt, Isaac Love, Enness Abozena, and Dawson Zieser. Emma Timmins placed first among all girls, picking up a personal best 236 with 6 tens. Zoey Marner, Tinley Timmins, and Baylor Stromwall all finished in the top five.

And in 3D competition, Lincoln Elementary shot a 1384. Ousey led the boys with a second place finish, shooting a 246 with 9 tens. Love, Wade, Lukas Dittrich, Axel Boone, and Max Roth placed within the top ten. Marner placed first among the girls with a 227 and 3 tens, with Emma Timmins, Baylor Stromwall, and Tinley Timmins placing second, third, and fourth respectively.

Washington won’t have to travel far for the next meet, as they’ll host their third meet of the season this Saturday, the final meet before state competition later this month.
