The Washington City Council accepted the resignation of City Clerk Kathy Kron Tuesday evening at their regular meeting. Kron’s final day at City Hall will be this Thursday. 

The resignation was accepted unanimously. Kron began her role as Washington City Clerk in October of 2024. 

During the interim, City Administrator Joe Gaa and City Finance Director and Deputy City Clerk Kelsey Brown will be covering the duties of the clerk. They will also be reviewing the job description for the position to see if there are any organizational changes to be made to improve the effectiveness of the city office.
