
A Cedar Rapids woman was arrested in Washington Wednesday on first degree burglary charges.
At approximately 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, the Washington Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of North Marion Avenue to a report of an assault. The caller stated that their girlfriend had assaulted them. Police arrested 21-year-old Skylar Galde of Cedar Rapids on a first degree burglary charge, a class B felony.
According to court records, allegedly Galde caused bodily injury to the victim while the victim was actively trying to remove her from the residence.
Galde is currently being held in the Washington County Jail, a trial date has yet to be set.
