This week’s KCII Area Athlete of the Week is a co-award, highlighting Mid-Prairie girls wrestlers Ellie Callahan and Sophie Miller. Both seniors qualified for the IGHSAU State Wrestling Tournament as Regional Champions. Miller tied the Mid-Prairie record for best individual finish ever at State placing third during her time at Xtream Arena in Coralville. Callahan finished in sixth place at State. Callahan also finishes her time with the Mid-Prairie program as the school record holder for career wins. Congratulations Sophie and Ellie!
