The Large-Group Speech season is wrapping up for the active group at Washington High School and a pair of Demons are advancing to the All-State Festival. 

Two of the performance groups received all Division 1 ratings at the state competition held on February 7th in Clear Creek Amana. 

Performances that received top ratings include, the Oz-Squad featuring Isobel Murphy, Maya Bruty, Iris Dahl, Callie Schiebel, and Angeline Anderson. 

Luna Morris and Quintyn Garibay also received a Division 1 rating at state, performing an original script titled “A Very Serious Crime” written by the duo. This group received an all-state nomination in ensemble acting and will advance to the All-State Festival in Ames later this month. 

There were 23 members of the Demons’ large-group speech team this year.
