Two area schools saw top finishers at the Iowa Girls State Wrestling Championships held last week. 

Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks Sophie Miller finished in third place and Ellie Callahan finished in sixth place. Highland Huskies Chloe Sexton finished in seventh place and Adley Sweeting finished in eighth place. 

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union 2026 High School State Wrestling Tournament was held last Thursday and Friday at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
