
A pair of boys wrestling teams were on the mat one final time before postseason tournaments last Saturday when they traveled to Prairie City Monroe for a dual event.
Sigourney-Keota was a winner over Mid-Prairie head-to-head 36-18 before also dropping duals to the home Mustangs 42-28 and Carlisle 68-7. Leaders on the day for the Savages included a 3-0 day for Owen Menke with two pins and a tech fall, two contested match wins apiece for Ryker VanDenHuevel with an 18-11 decision and a major decision and a pair of pins for Luke Flynn. Jacob Libe and Ayden Parker each scored a pin.
Mid-Prairie dropped their three duals on the day. Following their loss to SK they fell to PCM 68-6 and Carlisle 76-6. Will Snider recorded a pin for the Hawks contested match win.
