The first of three legislative briefings held during the state’s legislative session in Washington is being held tomorrow. 

The Washington Chamber of Commerce is hosting the legislative briefings. The briefings include commentary from Iowa State District 92 Representative Heather Hora and Iowa State District 46 Senator Dawn Driscoll. 

Each briefing will be held in the Washington City Council Chambers located at 215 East Washington Street. The briefings are open to residents within Washington County. The first 20 minutes will be an update from legislators, followed by 30 minutes of comments or questions from the public. 

These sessions are the public’s chance to stay informed about legislative activities, ask questions directly of legislators, and discuss matters that are important to the community.
