Healing at English River Outfitters (HERO), a Washington-based nonprofit, is holding a team-focused, family-friendly race at the end of March. On March 28th, HERO will host the “Mission Possible! Adventure Race” at the English River Outfitters Lodge in Washington. Participants will form teams made up of one or more families, and they’ll work together to complete both physical and mental challenges located throughout the community.

Challenges will require teamwork and problem solving and connection across all ages. The first team to successfully complete all challenges and return to the lodge is declared the winner.

Registration can be completed ahead of time by visiting the English River Outfitters website. On-site registration starts at 9 a.m, with the opening ceremony at 10. The race officially begins at 10:30 a.m., with a break for lunch between noon and 1 p.m. Teams are expected to begin returning to the lodge around 3 p.m, with awards to follow.

HERO is a nonprofit organization established with the mission of creating a community for area veterans to feel supported and empowered. The organization attempts this through programs, community events, and more.

The adventure race is a fundraiser for this non-profit organization. In addition, sponsorships are available for the challenges.
