The Washington boys’ wrestling team traveled to Fairfield over the weekend for the Southern Iowa Classic, where the Demons put five on the podium.

Caden Greiner and Blaine Rees put themselves atop the podium, with first place finishes at 138 and 190. Greiner won his final match by pinfall in just 1:24, while Rees captured the championship at 190 via an 8-5 decision.

Three other Demons found success. Clayton Bartholomew finished third at 132, Junior Valdez third at 150 and Caden Heisner third at 157.

Washington will next compete at Districts in Williamsburg, set for February 14th.
