The Washington boys wrestling squad wrestled against some strong competition in Keokuk on Thursday, dropping both of their duals in a quad with Keokuk, Oskaloosa, and Williamsburg. Washington fell to Williamsburg 71-12, and also fell to Oskaloosa, 54-30.
Top performers for the Demons were Caden Greiner and Blaine Rees, who won both their matches at 138 and 190, respectively. While those two were the only winners against Williamsburg, Junior Valdez, Mark Chenoweth, and Rudy Wolfe also earned wins over Oskaloosa.
Washington will compete over the weekend at the Southern Iowa Classic at Fairfield. It will be their final meet before District competition in February.
