The Lone Tree Lions and Columbus/WMU Wildcats linked up with Montzeuma and Mediapolis for a boys’ wrestling quad Thursday.
Of the four teams, it was the Wildcats who ruled the day, winning all three of their duals by wide margins. While a lot of points were gathered due to forfeits, several Wildcat wrestlers earned multiple contested wins. Angel Ineichen led the way, wrestling and winning three times. Justin Knipfer, Dakota Aney, and Bowen Thomson all earned two wins. Other Wildcats who earned a contested win include Jaiden Beeding, Kason Dopler, Dante Orozco, Kale Brown, and Ronaldo Villegas.
Lone Tree, with a smaller roster, suffered points-wise due to forfeits, but were able to pick up two wins in the dual against Montezuma. Cole Walmsley and Wyatt Ackerman each earned a win against the Braves.
Both the Wildcats and the Lions will compete this Saturday, facing off against each other and the other schools of the SEISC.
