The Washington Demon bowling team placed second at the Southeast Conference tournament Tuesday in Keokuk, with several of its bowlers placing within the top 12.

Washington bowled a 2697 for the day, good enough to claim second. Keokuk were the champions with a 2933, Burlington finished third with a 2621, Fairfield finished fourth with a 2602, and Mount Pleasant finished fifth with a 2365.

Individually, Kaeden Zear led the Demons with a 421 in the first round. Mitchell Zieglowsky bowled a 391. Kellton Burke and Cooper Zahs rolled a 354 and 353 respectively. Mason Pierce bowled a 333, and Landon Hawkins finished with 297.

Medals were given to finishers in the top 12. Zear finished fourth overall, Zieglowsky finished seventh, Burke finished eleventh, and Zahs finished twelfth.

The Demons have officially wrapped up their regular season, and will now await their placements for state qualifying.
