
The arrows were flying at the Demon Den last Saturday for Washington’s home January bullseye and 3D archery tournaments.
The Washington high school team finished second in block with a 3329 score. Hunter Barnes led the way for the Demon boys in fourth with his score of 278 with 14 tens. Other top ten boys were Zach Hotchkiss fifth, Chance Haskins sixth, Layne Moore seventh, and Ayden Vargas ninth. For the girls, top Demon was Charlee Read sixth at 277 with 11 tens. The high school Demons were also team runners-up in 3D at 1611. Barnes again had the top day for the boys, placing as runner-up at 289 with 21 tens. Other Washington top ten boys were Zach Hotchkiss fifth, Mason Pierce seventh, Braydon Clough eighth and Corbin Hodson ninth. Top Demon girl was Evelyn Glaspie eighth at 264 with eight tens. Itzell Calixto was ninth.
For the middle school Demons it was a second place team block score 3199. Jace Helfrich was the individual boys champion with a 288 and 20 tens. Top ten Demon boys included Jordan Thorius runner-up, Jayse Thorius third, Carter Higdon seventh and Maison Crawford ninth. Demon girls leader was Lilith Hernandez third at 264 with 13 tens. Teammates Estella Sanchez were sixth, Kenzie Vargas seventh and Chloe Entsminger ninth. In 3D, it was a Demon team title with a score of 1578. Jack Charlier was individual champion for the boys with a 273 and 13 tens. Other top ten Demon boys included Jace Helfrich fourth, Carter Higdon fifth, Jordan Thorius sixth, Logan Hotchkiss eighth and Braxton Rich tenth. Aryana Jones was the overall girls winner at 260 with nine tens. Other top ten Demon girls were Jeslynn Stuart fourth, Lilith Hernandez fifth, Kirya Coates sixth, Miriam Pierce seventh, Madalyn Roundy ninth and Harper Horn 10th.
The Lincoln Demons were elementary block champs at 2776. Mason Ousey was overall boys champion with a 254 and seven tens. Other Demon top ten boys were runner-up Rowan Ayrit, Enness Abozena third, Jack Green fourth, Owen Gellerstedt fifth, Isaac Love ninth and Dawson Zieser tenth. For the girls, Kiara Murphy was third with 223 and a pair of tens. Other top ten Demon girls included Rosalie Montz fourth, Zoey Marner fifth, Emma Timmins sixth, and Tinley Timmins eighth. In 3D, the team title belonged to the Lincoln Demons and their 1344 score. Individually, Mason Ousey made it a personal sweep winning the boys event with a 249 and eight tens. Other top ten Demon boys were Rowan Ayrit runner-up, Dawson Zieser fourth, Max Roth fifth, and Jack Green sixth. Zoey Marner was overall girls champ with a 214 and two tens. Other Washington top tens were Rosalie Montz fourth, Kiara Murphy sixth, Emma Timmins seventh, Tinley Timmins eighth, and Baylor Stromwall tenth.
For the Golden Hawk club it was a high school block championship with a team score 3304. Johnathon Pickard was the boys champion with a 288 and 19 tens. Elijah Statler was runner-up. For the girls, Ava Miller was third at 282 and 14 tens. Other top ten Hawks were Averi Janecek fourth, Sophia Puttmann fifth, Lael Seale sixth, Caitlyn Peters ninth and Madilynn Liska tenth. In 3D, the high school Hawks were the team winners at 1673. Elijah Statler was the boys winner at 281 and 21 tens. Other Golden Hawk top ten boys were Johnathon Pickard third, and Treyven Schwartz sixth. For the girls, Lael Seale was runner-up at 279 with 17 tens. Other top tens included Averi Janecek third, Harlee West fourth, Ava Miller sixth, and Sophia Puttmann 10th.
For the middle school Hawks, it was a bullseye team title at 3201. Ruby Regenwether was girls overall winner with a 274 and 13 tens. Other top ten girls were Lara Brenneman runner-up, Ellie Rand fifth, Josie Miller eighth and Claire O’Connor tenth. For the boys, Nolan Mohling was fourth with a 274 and 11 tens. Other top tens were Joshua Seale fifth, Noah Coblentz sixth, Easton Miller eighth and Bryce Miller tenth. The middle school team were 3D runners-up at 1561. Ruby Regenwether was girls runner-up at 257 with six tens. Lara Brenneman was eighth. For the boys, Bryce Miller was runner-up with a 272 and nine tens. Joshua Seale was seventh and Brooks Meyer ninth.
For the elementary Hawks, Emilia Rodgers was girls block runner-up at 224 with three tens. Top boys finisher was Bretton Flynn 12th at 225 with four tens. In 3D, Emilia Rodgers was again runner-up at 195 with seven tens for the girls. Logan Beachy led the boys in third at 235 with seven tens. Bretton Flynn was eighth.
For the St. James shooters, they posted a team bullseye score of 2029 for second. Emmett Gratz was boys leader in sixth at 240 with three tens. Maxton DeLong was seventh. For the girls, Bennett Vittetoe was ninth at 183 with two tens, Dalia Atilano Marcelino was 10th. In 3D, the team score was 1094 for second. Bennett Vittetoe was third individually for the girls with a 188. Saylor Altenhofen was fifth and Zionah Wise ninth. Emmett Gratz was seventh for the boys at 223 with three tens. Maxton DeLong ninth.
