The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union boys’ wrestling team hosted the Wildcat Dual Tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats took on three different teams, winning 48-36 against North Linn, but falling 38-26 to Southeast Polk and 48-28 to West Liberty.

None of the duals featured many forfeits, allowing for plenty of competition. Two Wildcat wrestlers, Trevor Phillips and Kason Dopler, went 3-0 at 175 and 190 pounds respectively. Dakota Aney at 113, Bowen Thomson at 132, and Dante Orozco at 150 each earned two wins.

The Wildcats will next turn their attention to another quad on Thursday, this time against Lone Tree, Montezuma, and Mediapolis.
