Hospice of Washington County is holding its annual Soup Supper and Silent Auction fundraising event this evening. Katrina Altenhofen, Hospice of Washington County Executive Director shared what can be expected, “So, tonight we have our Hospice of Washington County soup supper and silent auction. We are excited, we have three soups that we will be featuring, and they are not your normal soups like a chili supper. They are soups that you probably don’t normally make at home at all times. We have a ton of desserts that are going to be there for folks. I believe that we are up to 75 baskets that folks can look at and see. We will have posters of the baskets hanging up so folks can look at them. If they really truly want to see what the basket is like, they can come to the Hospice office, we’ve got them in our conference room. So we are excited, typically we have about 300 individuals. We know it’s going to be chilly, and so it will be a wonderful night for soups.”

Hospice of Washington County is a not for profit hospice care provider, fundraisers such as the annual Soup Supper and Silent Auction help to offset the cost of patient care for patients without insurance or who are underinsured.

The Soup Supper and Silent Auction will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington, 209 East Main Street. The event runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. To-go orders can be placed on the northwest entrance of the church. This is a free-will donation event. The silent auction will take place from January 27th to February 3rd on the Hospice of Washington County Facebook page.
