The municipal grant program distributes 25% of the WCRF’s revenue each quarter to each city in Washington County. The funds are then distributed to the cities based on population. The cities then designate its use on a case-by-case basis.
The City of Washington used the $661,739.91 in municipal grant funds for a Library Genealogy Project, the Flock Camera System, Downtown Investment Grants and Main Street Events, and the Parks Master Plan. Remaining funds will be used in 2026 to start projects that will be identified in the Parks Master Plan.
