The Lone Tree and WACO boys wrestling teams made their way over to Van Buren for a wrestling triangular Thursday.

WACO defeated Lone Tree 63-6. Contested winners for the Warriors included Ian Maize at 120 by fall, Teage Pepper at 138 by fall, and Connor Sizemore at 144 by decision. Tate Nelson was the lone point-getter for the Lions, winning at 285 by fall.

Van Buren defeated Lone Tree 63-17. The Lions received contested points from Wyatt Ackerman at 138 by technical fall, and Nelson once again at 285 by fall.

And finally, Van Buren defeated WACO 48-30 in the closest match of the day. The Warriors got contested points from Teage Pepper at 138, Harley Larrimore at 150, Braxton Stauffer at 175, and Cylas Elder at 190.

Both WACO and Lone Tree will travel to Belle Plaine Saturday for the Kurt Hinschberger Invitational. The Warriors and Lions will be joined by fellow area squad Highland.
