Washington State Bank has donated $150,000 in support of the new Havel Family Cancer Center at Washington County Hospital and Clinics (WCHC).
The Havel Family Cancer Center will expand access to cancer care close to home. It is designed to provide compassionate, comprehensive cancer services in a dedicated space that prioritizes patient comfort, dignity, and convenience. This new center will reduce the need for patients and families to travel long distances for treatment, allowing them to remain close to home and loved ones during some of life’s most challenging moments.
The Havel Family Cancer Center is made possible through the leadership and generosity of founding benefactor LeRoy Havel, whose commitment established the vision for a state-of-the-art cancer center in Washington County. Community support, like the gift from Washington State Bank, plays a critical role in bringing this initiative to fruition.
In addition to the cancer center, the Light the Way Fund will provide ongoing support for oncology services, including equipment, education, and patient assistance, ensuring care continues to evolve for generations to come.
