
During a special meeting of the Washington School Board on Tuesday morning, a resignation was heard and approved for a district administrator.
Washington High School Principal Ed Rathjen will be resigning from his position at the end of the school year. Rathjen began with the Washington School District in the fall of 2023, coming from Davenport.
School officials stated that they will begin the search for Rathjens’ replacement in the coming weeks.
The last day of classes for Washington High School for the year is May 22nd. Rathjen is one of four principals in the Washington Community School District.
