Hospice of Washington County wants you to be prepared for the future.
They are offering a free advance directive workshop for individuals to discuss planning for the future. Advanced directives are a written statement of a person’s wishes regarding medical treatment, often including a living will, made to ensure those wishes are carried out should the person be unable to communicate them to a doctor.. Hospice of Washington County Assistant Executive Director, Jina Witthoft shares what can be expected during the workshop, and why it is important to plan ahead, “So, we feel that this is important for the person as well as their family, and providers to gather the same information. To make sure that their wishes are respected and known.”
The workshop will be held Friday, January 23rd beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Hospice of Washington County office, located at 948 East 11th Street.
