Join P.L.A.N.T. Washington at the Public Library for National Seed Swap Day on January 31st.
Participants can come-and-go to the Washington Public Library and swap seeds, share seed stories, color and create plantable seed art, and take a winter sowing workshop. If you have seeds to share, bring them in a labeled container with crop type, variety, and year grown.
Winter sowing combines a low-effort, nature-propelled germination method with an opportunity to recycle common household waste items as mini-greenhouses. Suitable for both beginners and established gardeners. Learn how to winter sow seeds. Participants should bring a milkjug. Seeds and soil will be provided.
Two workshop times will be offered at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
