It’s life on the road Tuesday night in the River Valley Conference for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks as they are the visitors for the fifth straight time in conference play, traveling to West Branch.

The Golden Hawk boys stand at 8-3 this year, 5-2 in the RVC after a dominating 70-40 win at Tipton Friday, where Bryce Henry led the way with 21 points, including the 1000th for his career. On the season, the Hawks score 60 points per game and give up 55 on 42% shooting, 32% from three and 60% at the line with 31 rebounds, 11 assists, nine steals and 14 turnovers per game. Individually, Henry leads at 18 points and eight boards per night. Brooks Weber dishes out four assists and grabs three steals per game.

West Branch is 7-6 on the year and 2-5 in conference play after a 61-35 win at Lisbon last night. The Bears score 57 points per game and give up 52 on 43% shooting, 33% from deep and 52% at the line with 25 rebounds, 12 assists, eight steals and 12 turnovers per game. Individually, Jayden Harris is the Bears best with 16 points and two steals per game. Brennen Dale has five assists and Lincoln Naber five rebounds. In Wellman earlier this year, Mid-Prairie was a 65-57 winner over the Bears.

The Mid-Prairie girls start Tuesday at 7-5 on the year, 5-2 in conference after a 46-44 loss at Tipton Friday. This year, the Hawks score 56 points per game and give up 45 on 38% shooting, 31% from three and 56% at the line with 35 rebounds, 16 steals and assists and 20 turnovers per night. Individually, Morgyn Bender leads with 13 points per night, Jovi Evans at five boards per game, Katelyn Harland with three assists and Jeorgia Evans three steals per night.

West Branch is 6-7 on the year and 2-5 in conference play after a 43-38 win at Lisbon last night. On the year, the Bears score 43 points per game and give up 45 on 33% shooting, 24% from three and 50% at the line with 36 rebounds, 13 steals, eight assists and 24 turnovers per night. Individually, Kennedy Simpson is at 12 points per game, Ava Burnett nine rebounds, Grace Hamann four steals and Lexi Skay three assists. Mid-Prairie beat West Branch 66-27 in Wellman before Christmas.
