Two local girls wrestling teams traveled to Cascade Thursday for the Cougar Invitational. The Sigourney-Keota girls had the top area team finish, placing fifth of 20 schools with 117.5 points. East Buchanan was the overall winner with 154.5 points. Sadie Clarahan took the highest spot on the podium for SK, placing second at 120lbs. Other top performers included Aubrey Utterback at 110lbs, Kia Montgomery at 125lbs and Izzy Heisdorffer at 140lbs all third. Bristol Ward at 120 and Neveah Beinhart at 130lbs were both fourth and Abyl McCulley at 135 and Melanie Woodsmall at 170lbs were both fifth.

Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union was 16th with 25 points. Jada Moats led the way as runner-up at 190lbs.
