In reviewing the 2025 fair and presenting their figures to the Washington County Board of Supervisors last week, the Washington County Fairboard explained the large economic impact that the week of the fair brings to the county.

Board President Nick Shelman gave the report, “The Washington County Fair estimated fiscal impact brings in 15,000 visitors, 100 hotel rooms, $2.7 million of impact to the local economy. Twenty ongoing jobs sustained, and $84,000 in tax revenue generated.”

The annual funding request from the Fair Board was for the amount of $41,000 and will be decided upon by the board at a later budget meeting. That is the same amount that was requested by the association a year ago.
