
Both the Lone Tree girls and boys wrestling teams traveled to Pekin for a triangular on Thursday. The boys dropped both of their duals, losing to Burlington Notre Dame 66-12 and Pekin 24-18, while the girls split theirs, defeating BGM 32-24 but falling to Pekin 42-24.
Lone Tree’s Tate Nelson went 2-0 for the day on the boys side, earning two pins at 285. Wyatt Ackerman also earned a contested win by pinfall in the dual against Burlington Notre Dame. On the girls’ side, Madeline Bell and Olivia Magruder each went 2-0, earning pinfall victories in both duals.
The Lone Tree boys are set to compete at the WACO Warrior Invitational on Saturday, while the girls head to West Branch.
