The Sigourney-Keota Cobra football team enjoyed success on the field this fall, and now their enjoying post-season awards from Class 1A District 6. Nineteen Cobras were named to All-District teams.

Offensive first team selections included Senior Owen Menke. He was part of an offensive line that helped SK score 287 points on the season. Menke led Class 1A with 46 pancake blocks. Defensively, he finished with 31 tackles, eight for loss, a sack, two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Senior Jacob Libe was a First-teamer. He ended the year with 16 carries, 117 yards with a touchdown, also throwing for 125 yards and putting up 13 pancakes on offense. Defensively, Libe had 33 tackles, two for loss.

Junior Ike Molyneux was a First-team choice. Molyneux put up 938 yards on 146 carries with a dozen touchdowns on offense. Defensively, he added 18 tackles and on special teams averaged 18 yards per kick return.

Sophomore Graham Moore was a First-team selection. Moore was part of an offensive line that helped gain 2,670 total yards, posting 43 pancakes, second most in Class 1A. On defense he ended with eight tackles, two for loss and a sack.

Defensive First-team selections included senior Wells Clark with 33 tackles, seven for loss, four sacks and a fumble recovery.

Senior John Berg was named First-team with 45 tackles, two for loss, and three interceptions. On offense he had 21 pancake blocks, with eight catches for 179 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Junior Chase Clarahan was a First-team pick. He had 50 tackles, seven stops for loss with a sack and a forced fumble. Offensively, he added three touchdowns, two throwing and was the second team district punter, averaging 39 yards per kick.

Junior Carson O’Rourke is a First-teamer. He ended with 14 tackles and two interceptions. On offense, he had 28 carries for 150 yards and four touchdowns. On special teams he averaged 24 yards per kick return and a touchdown.

Sophomore Blake Baker was a First-team selection. Baker had 34 tackles, 10 stops for loss with three sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery. He was a Second-team kick returner with a special teams touchdown. On offense, he finished with 253 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.

Special-Teams First-team selections included junior Owen Clark who was 28 of 30 on PATs and two of three in field goals with a long of 28. Defensively, he added seven tackles, one for loss and a fumble recovery.

Second-Team offensive selections were Senior Cael Jaeger. He was part of an offensive line that helped SK score 39 touchdowns on the season. Jaeger had 41 pancakes individually.

Senior Aidyn Parker was also a Second-Team member of the Cobra offensive line that helped the Snakes average 29 points this season.

Senior Brayden Wood was a Second-Team selection. He was 19 of 38 throwing for 254 yards and five touchdowns, while rushing for three more scores and 259 yards.

Junior Ayden Galindo was a Second-Team choice. Galindo put up 204 rush yards with a pair scores on the ground with 128 receiving yards. He made 22 tackles and recovered a fumble on defense.

Sophomore Hunter Sellers made Second-Team. Sellers made 10 catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns with a pair of two point conversions and 27 pancake blocks.

Junior Landon Conrad made Second-Team on defense with seven tackles. He also added 203 yards on the ground on offense with four touchdowns.

Sophomore Lance Welden was named Second-Team defense, making 19 tackles, two for loss and a fumble recovery.

Honorable mentions included junior Aiden Knepper, part of an offensive line that finished sixth in Class 1A with 32 rushing touchdowns with 25 pancakes individually and sophomore Landon Fisch with 10 tackles, one for loss, an interception and a rushing touchdown.

Sigourney-Keota advanced to the second round of the playoffs, finishing with a 5-5 overall record.
