The new Eichelberger Farms Agri-Science Center has been completed, and WACO school district students are now able to utilize the space.
Construction on the new center began in the spring of 2025. The center features two classrooms, two locker rooms, a kitchen, specialized rooms for rabbits, poultry and swine, pens for other large animals, and a greenhouse. There is also a conference room, allowing for guest speakers that will help the WACO FFA and Ag programs continue to grow.
WACO Superintendent Spencer Lueders says the completion of the new center has been one of many projects completed as part of a busy fall semester for the WACO school district, “It’s been a busy fall, but a fun fall, and we’ve had so many successful student activities that have happened, but it’s just crazy how fast times go.”
The new center is located on the WACO High School campus in Wayland. It was funded in part by a $115,000 grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation and a large donation from Eichelberger Farms.
