
The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office received over 10,000 calls for service in 2025, according to statistics released by the department.
Over the year, the office received 10,025 calls for service, equivalent to an average of 28 calls per day. Columbus Junction recorded the highest amount of calls, at 1,266. The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, and Columbus Junction Police Department made 478 arrests, leading to 752 charges. Of those, 143 were felonies leading to sentences, and 100 were aggravated misdemeanors. Both of those numbers are up from 2024. Officers gave out 590 citations and issued 841 warnings.
Friday, Saturday, and Monday were the busiest days for the department. Fridays and Saturdays in particular accounted for one-third of all calls received last year.
