The Washington City Council approved a technical services agreement renewal with Strand Associates for engineering services Tuesday evening. 

The City has had a contract with Strand Associates for water and wastewater engineering services for many years. This resolution approves an updated master service agreement, meaning it will also include engineering services related to wastewater compliance and general engineering. The last agreement with Strand Associates was approved in 2013. The firm is based in Ames.

The agreement states a task order document shall be developed and executed by both parties in the events where engineering services are needed. The task orders will include project information, a detailed scope of services, compensation, and schedule. The task orders will go to the city council for approval each time for respective projects. 

The agreement will remain in place for six years. The resolution was passed unanimously
