The Washington Demon bowling team traveled to Muscatine on Saturday to compete at the Louisa-Muscatine Invite, with the team finishing 14th out of 18 teams.
Kaeden Zear led the way for the Demons, with games of 187 and 220 for a total of 407 across two games. Mitchell Zieglowsky bowled a 169 and 196 for a total of 365. Kellton Burke bowled a 182 and 165 for a total of 347. Cooper Zahs was right behind him with a total of 337. Mason Catenaccio and Mason Pierce scored 330 and 294, respectively. After dropping low scores and adding bakers scores, Washington finished with a team total of 2609, good for 14th place. Central DeWitt took home 1st place after scoring 3245.
The Demons next bowl this Tuesday in a triangular against rivals Keokuk and Mount Pleasant at the Iris Bowling Center in Mount Pleasant. The Chiefs and Panthers also participated in this weekend’s invitational, with Keokuk taking 8th and Mount Pleasant finishing in 17th.
