The Washington County Board of Supervisors were unable to come to a new consensus after multiple weeks of discussion on employee and elected officials compensation. During their meeting on Tuesday, four separate motions ranging from 1% to 4% increases in wages were made, however none were approved.

This means that the vote that was made and approved on December 9th is what will move forward. The vote approved a 2.8% increase for employees and elected officials. The Supervisors approved the increase in a three to two vote with Stan Stoops and Marcus Fedler voting nay.

Last year, the supervisors approved a 2.5% increase for staff and a 2% increase for elected officials.
