Many offices and businesses will be closed on Thursday for New Year’s Day. 

U.S. Post Offices will be closed on New Year’s Day, with regular hours and mail delivery resuming on Friday. The Washington Public Library will be closed on Thursday, as well as most banking establishments. All City of Washington trash and recycling routes will be one day later. The Washington County Courthouse is closed on Thursday.

As a reminder, the Washington Community School District is on break through January 2nd with classes resuming on Monday, January 5th.
