The Highland Huskies and Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats sent their girls wrestling programs to the mat at Cedar Rapids Prairie’s Bubba Randle Winter Classic. The Huskies had the top team finish, placing 19th of 34 teams with 33 points. Linn-Mar was the overall winner with 184 points. Adley Sweeting’s 3-1 day led Highland, finishing third at 120lbs. Maiya Singbeil was eighth at 140lbs.
Columbus/WMU scored four points in the tournament. Jada Moats eighth place finish at 190lbs led the way.
