The Lone Tree boys and girls basketball teams scored a conference sweep over Louisa-Muscatine before Christmas. The Lion girls won a back-and-forth affair 48-41. Lone Tree was up 13-7 after one and following a Falcon flurry in the second, found themselves tied at 21 at the break. The Lady Lions won the second half 27-20 to pull away for the win. Lone Tree won field goal shooting 29-23%, rebounding 47-33, assists 8-7, steals 18-15 and turnovers 26-24. Finley Jacque had a game high 24 points. Addy Parizek and Abby Zaruba combined for 25 rebounds. The Lone Tree win moved them to 7-3 while L-M drops to 6-2.

The boys contest was a 49-45 Lone Tree winner. The Lions jumped out 11-4 after one and 26-14 at half. The Falcons won the second stanza 31-23, but Lone Tree held on for the win. The Falcons won field goal percentage 33-26, assists 11-10 and rebounding 43-40. Lone Tree took steals 11-5 and turnovers 17-10. Reece Holbrook had a monster 24 point, 14 rebound double double. Cade Willoz added eight points and 11 rebounds. Lone Tree is 2-6 with the win, while L-M drops to 1-6.
